Jesse Talamantez –
Social Entrepreneur, Producer & Strategist
Mr. Talamantez has a classic Hollywood story. He started off in the mailroom at New Line Cinema which gave him immediate access to the entire operation. While meeting “everyone there” he noticed that there was a gap in the youth marketing structure. Jesse responded with action by forming his own youth marketing company, NX Level Media, Inc. designed to fill the marketing gaps he observed. Jesse left his full-time position and immediately became a sub-contractor promoting New Line’s “youth-targeted” films through music events. He employed a new media focus and groundbreaking, immersive visual branding techniques. One such project, The Kung Fu Knowledge Tour, became the first Drum and Bass DJ tour (full entourage) in America.
With his talent to fuse business, music and marketing now firmly in action, Jesse turned his attention to digital media launching his second company Hi-Roller International. With the international DVD market reaching it’s peak, he produced the first “surround-sound” music DVD for critically-acclaimed techno music icon Ritchie Hawtin in 1999. Hi-Roller international continued to develop projects and products, receiving the first U.S. patent pending for a “rolling record case.”
Jesse then became instrumental in launching the award-winning V Squared Labs digital animation and VJ studio, filling yet another unfulfilled gap in the industry. “VSL” quickly rose to becoming the cutting-edge live event experience visuals company in America. Along with digital pixel master VJV2 “Vello Virkhaus,” he took on clients including New Line Cinema, Sony, Moonshine Records, The Firm and others. To this day the company produces tour experience visuals for the likes of Beyonce’, Sting, Bon Jovi, Skrillex, Amon Tobin, Kanye West, Bassnectar and more.
Around this time, Jesse made his first trip to China to establish many of the key global relationships which have led to the Million Wishes Inc “media alliance network.” Additionally, he and Million Wishes founder Tef Foo continue to build business relations around the globe.
With a number of worldwide partners and companies now firmly in place, Mr. Talamantez recently extended his range by devising, building, and managing several innovative retail businesses. Making use of top retail design partner Gary Goddard of Goddard Group, he recently launched the “Gracie’s Emporium” retail store outside of Palm Springs, CA in “Old Town” La Quinta, CA in November of 2011.
Thank you for this moment. This short note serves to convey my feelings regarding the project I recently completed with Mr. Jesse Talamantez. Simply put, Jesse took my personal dream of building a unique retail experience and made it happen. From day one he put the whole thing on his back, never once hesitating or losing his calm demeanor or confidence in what we were building together. I’ve never seen one person wear so many hats and get so much done under the ever-present pressures of budget, timeline and modification with so much class.
He is more than a project partner. He is a gem. Good luck and my best for a prosperous and enriching engagement. With warmest regards…
